OATHBREAKER ANNOUNCE FIRST-EVER AUSTRALIAN TOUR

Renowned for their expressive post-black metal by way of hardcore roots, Belgium’s OATHBREAKER will mark their first trip to the southern hemisphere with two headline shows this March off the back of their second-to-headline slot at the already sold out festival debut of Lucidity.

The two headline shows featuring special guests
PORTRAYAL OF GUILT and BLIND GIRLS will take place on Thursday 11 March at Crowbar in Brisbane, supported by SLOWCUT, and Friday 12 March at Crowbar in Sydney, supported by DIPLOID.

Redefining modern heavy music with their third studio album, along with relentless touring to follow, OATHBREAKER announced a hiatus in 2018 before reuniting in 2026 to commemorate the 10th anniversary milestone of the paradigm-shifting Rheia. Blending extreme metal with art music aesthetics, OATHBREAKER are known for their intense, emotionally charged sound, skilfully incorporating elements of screamo, post-punk, shoegaze, sludge, and black metal.

Also on their maiden voyage down under, Texan metal punks PORTRAYAL OF GUILT will provide direct support, with the ever-evolving extreme music chameleons touring in support of their 2026 record …Beginning of The End. Over the last decade, PORTRAYAL OF GUILT have solidified themselves as a pillar in the extreme underground music scene. Defying accurate categorization since formation, the three piece blends elements of black, death and nu-metal with crust, screamo, powerviolence and hardcore.

The ferocious and acclaimed Australian screamo revival lords BLIND GIRLS will round out this incredibly visceral touring package.

Local force SLOWCUT will blast Brisbane open with their appropriately anguished post-metal, and the Melbourne experimental grindcore unit DIPLOID will bless the Sydney opening slot with their first visit to Sydney in several years.
