LIME CORDIALE ANNOUNCE NEW GREEN INITIATIVES FESTIVAL
Lovable brotherly duo Oli and Louis Leimbach of Lime Cordiale are fiercely passionate about two things - live music and the environment. They have been busily working on an initiative to bring these two passions together, today announcing the Lime Green Festival.
In partnership with Chugg Music, Lime Green Festival is a bold experiment in what the future of live music can look like when climate action is placed at the centre of the experience. Designed as a 100% off-grid event, the festival is built on a commitment to reducing environmental impact while still delivering a vibrant, high-quality day of music, culture and connection.
Taking place in Adelaide on 18 April at Point Malcolm Reserve, Lime Green is more than just a music festival.
It is a community-driven, forward-thinking platform that invites audiences to engage, learn and imagine new possibilities for how live events can operate in a more regenerative way. Lime Cordiale are striving to make this work off grid and believe it’s a model that can be successful in regional SA – or anywhere in Australia!
Oli and Louis said;
"From the accelerating loss of polar ice to the devastating algal blooms currently choking the South Australian coast, it is impossible to ignore that our climate is at a breaking point. For the last five years, we’ve wrestled with a deep, personal dilemma as environmentalists: Is our touring contributing to the problem? Does it still make sense in a world that’s hurting? Should we continue to tour at all? We’ve decided that the answer isn't to stop, but to change. Live music is about the vital connection between people, and we believe that connection is exactly what we need to fuel a new way of doing things. Our aim is to stage the greenest music festival Australia has ever seen—rethinking everything from renewable stage power and transport to how we handle food and human waste.”
