INDIE-DANCE PROJECT TEENAGER IS BACK WITH NEW TRACK ‘A.A’

Teenager, the cult indie-dance project from Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, PNAU) and Ladyhawke returns, bringing with them a wave of synths and future-facing electro-pop with the announcement of their forthcoming release, Fourteen, and alt-pop anthem ‘A.A.’

Nick Littlemore and Ladyhawke first collaborated under the Teenager moniker for 2006’s Thirteen, and have since gone on to achieve incredible things independently, with Ladyhawke garnering critical acclaim for her self-titled debut album and Nick Littlemore amassing an impressive catalogue of music as one half of Empire of the Sun and a driving force behind PNAU, as well as his extensive production credits from working with icons like Elton John, Dua Lipa, Troye Sivan and even Cirque du Soleil.

Amidst this creative outpouring, the bond between the pair never waned and they continued to collaborate, writing and recording songs between projects and at times from opposite sides of the world, meaning that this long-awaited collection of songs is almost two decades in the making.

The first single from the project, ‘A.A.’, weaves dark lyrical themes through infectious pop hooks and uplifting melodies—blending Nick Littlemore’s iconic production with Ladyhawke’s unmistakable voice.

On the meaning behind the song, Nick Littlemore says “We are all isolated, we are all dejected, but weirdly that’s what links us all. Connected by the universal suffering, everyone is touched by that and no one is spared.”
