BAD NERVES / DEAD POET SOCIETY // CROWBAR, SYDNEY // 2ND DECEMBER 2025 // LIVE MUSIC GALLERY
A fantastic sunny day called for a fantastic noisy gig and where else would you go on a Tuesday other than the Crowbar, Sydney for a night full of drinks, pool, and the band room going off.
Tonight kicked off the Good Things side show festivities with punkish group Bad Nerves from the UK along with the legendary Dead Poet Society all the way from Boston.
Opening the night was none other than Melbourne/Naarm’s own Raging Hormones.
The start of the week was looking better already with this stellar show ready for action as punters piled in one by one, early, grabbing food and drinks before the show kicked off and by 7:30pm the band room was officially open and the night was ready to roll.
Dressed all identical, the trio of Raging Hormones took no time to start the night off right with their array of great tracks that had the ever filling room headbanging along. The 30 minute set was full of fun energy that we didn’t want to end. If this was the opening band then I think everyone knew we were all in for one hell of a ride tonight. The band surely did satisfy the taste of rock and roll with a kick ass set that warmed us up and turned the room on fire.
Bad Nerves captivated from the second they walked up onto the stage. With their powerful personas and bouncy rock tracks, they had the room absolutely electrified. Bodies were swaying and jumping to the beat as the lead singer stood tall on the edge of the stage and ramped everyone up. The band's sound was loud and effortless and they played their instruments like it was the last show they would ever play. An incredible set from an incredible group.
Lastly, Dead Poet Society didn’t have to lift a finger for the crowd to erupt in loud screams when the lights dimmed low and created the perfect atmosphere to end the night. The room was shaking by the time the band finished their first song, punters were jumping and slamming into each other all for the love of the music that exploded through the speakers. This band easily commanded the fans with their stage presence and energy, leaving us hungry for more by the time the set came to an end.
Tuesday’s don’t seem so dull anymore when you have 3 unbelievable bands to fill your ears with fast-paced music and a dynamite of energy. Don’t miss Bad Nerves and Dead Poet Society at Good Things Festival this weekend.
